I first met Nick in Bangkok. We were all shuffled into vans and soon heading into the city. Nick happened to be a fellow Mainer and sat next to me. It seemed like the longest ride of my life because I thought he would never stop talking. Fast forward a day, and I find myself getting paired with Nick as my roommate for our semester in Bhutan. Soon into this living situation, Nick and I discovered how similar and weird we were. It was like a match made in heaven and we became an iconic duo for the whole group to laugh at. Nick and I spent the rest of the semester testing everyone's personal boundaries and documenting our interactions with the community. I never thought that I'd meet one of my best friends so far from home. Whether it was during our vlog, mispronouncing everything imaginable, or dancing like black-necked cranes, we discovered a friendship that had always meant to be.
